1.Description
Spiral separator for Zircon Ore Concentrating are gravity concentrators and separate minerals of different specific gravity according to their relative movement in response to gravity, centrifugal force and other forces in the fluid medium. It has extremely good performance and effects in processing placer of beach, riverside, seashore and stream. Ganzhou Gelin Mining Machinery Co., LTd. Spirals are made of polyurethane lined fiber glass with wearable corundum inner surface. Generally there are 5 turns in one start, single, twin, triple and quad starts available per column to suit capacity requirments.

2.Processing Flowchart Simple Description
1.The raw ore passes through a rotating screen with 2mm apertures to remove oversized rocks, with undersized material (<2mm) fed into spiral chutes for gravity separation.
2.Screened material is fed into spiral chutes to separate heavy minerals (zircon/rutile/ilmenite) from tailings. Recovery: >90% for heavy minerals (SG>4), with tailings discharged to storage.
3.Concentrate is processed by wet magnetic separator to extract ilmenite (with magnetite).
4.Non-magnetic minerals are fed to shaking tables to upgrade zircon and rutile.
5.All concentrate from shaking table is sent to the rotary dryer for drying material.
6.The dried material is conveyed by bucket elevator to dry magnetic separators for titanium-iron concentrate recovery.
7.1st electrostatic separator recovers conductive rutile, 2nd electrostatic separator enhances rutile recovery.
8.The non-conductive minerals is conveyed to two roller magnetic separators for separating out final zircon and monazite.

Somalia 100 tons per hour beach sand process plant
1. A 100 tons raw material is first delivered to a trommel screen by a vibrating feeder to remove oversize particles (>2mm). The undersize material is then feed into a two-stage spiral chute.
2. Roughing: Produces initial heavy mineral concentrate (HMC) and discards tailings.
3. Cleaning/Scavenging: Further processes the middlings from the first stage to enhance overall recovery.
4. The combined concentrate from the spiral chute is finally separated by a single-drum wet magnetic separator to remove magnetic minerals.
